Chamaedorea Elegans

Chamaedorea elegans or Parlour palm is slender-stemmed palm with a terminal tuft of pinnate, rich green leaves, to 60cm long, comprising 21-40 linear to lance-shaped leaflets. Tiny yellow flowers are borne in erect, simple or branched panicles, 15-30cm long, from spring to autumn, followed by small, spherical black fruit. Height 2-3m, Spread 1-2m. Native of Mexico, Guatemala.
25-35cm overall height.

Light: Shade tolerant. also loves Brighter and indirect sunlight.

Water: Water once soil begins to dry. Do not overwater and ensure the plant has proper drainage to prevent root rot.

Temperature: Average house temperatures above 18°C. Needs a minimum of 10°C in winter.

Humidity: Can tolerate some dry indoor air, but does better with a little extra humidity and likes occasional misting with lukewarm water. Brown leaf tips are an indication that the plant is not getting enough humidity.

Feed: Feed with a weak solution every few weeks during the growing season. Do not feed during the winter.
