Araucaria heterophylla "Norfolk Island Pine" is conical, coniferous tree with distinctive, whorled branches of fan-like foliage. On young trees, leaves are narrowly wedge-shaped, light green, and to 1.5m long; on mature trees, they are crowded, scale-like, incurved, and to 5mm long. Spherical female cones are 4-7cm long.
